These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Promi: Business English app (“Promi”, “the app”). Please read them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Who we are

Promi is provided by:

Digitly Media Kft.
1131 Budapest, Béke utca 73. 5. em. 13., Hungary
Company registration no.: 01-09-399063 (Fővárosi Törvényszék Cégbírósága)
Tax no.: 27818147-2-41
Support: support@promienglish.hu

“We”, “us” and “our” mean Digitly Media Kft. “You” means the person using the app.

2. The service

Promi is an app for learning Business English. It includes:

  • structured lessons and exercises in workplace chapters, from A2 to C1 level,
  • explanations in your chosen language,
  • review, progress tracking, daily goals and optional reminders,
  • AI roleplay, where you practise workplace conversations with an AI character and get feedback.

We keep improving the app. Features and content may change over time, but we won’t take away the core of what you pay for during a paid subscription period without good reason. If we make a change that significantly harms you, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel (see section 4).

3. Your account

  • You can use the lessons without an account. AI roleplay and syncing across devices need you to sign in with Apple.
  • Keep your device and Apple ID secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings (see section 4).

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Promi requires a paid subscription. The plans are monthly ($9.99) and annual ($59.99, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers), or the local price shown in the App Store. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before a free trial ends, it converts to a paid annual subscription.
  • You buy subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment, and Apple’s terms apply to the purchase, including Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • To manage or cancel: open iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or use “Manage subscription” in Promi’s settings. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
  • If we change the price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before the new price applies.

One-time introductory offer. We may show new subscribers a one-time introductory offer, for example the annual plan at a reduced price for the first year. The offer is valid only for as long as shown in the app and can be used once per Apple ID, in line with Apple’s eligibility rules. After the introductory period, the subscription renews at the regular annual price unless you cancel. If the offer is closed or expires, it won’t be shown again.

Your right of withdrawal (EU consumers). EU law gives consumers a 14-day right to withdraw from online purchases. For digital content that starts right away, this right can end once you start using it. Apple’s terms explain how this works for App Store purchases, and Apple handles withdrawal and refund requests.

5. Acceptable use

Please use Promi for learning. You agree not to:

  • abuse, harass or threaten anyone, or use the app to create illegal, hateful, sexual or violent content,
  • try to misuse the AI, for example by trying to make it ignore its instructions (“jailbreaking”), produce harmful content, or use roleplay for things that have nothing to do with learning English,
  • write sensitive personal data about yourself or other real people into roleplay,
  • automate access to the app or our server, scrape content, or get around usage limits,
  • reverse-engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content, except where the law allows it,
  • interfere with the security or operation of the service.

Fair-use limits. AI roleplay has a cost for each message, so fair-use limits apply: for example, a limit on the number of sessions per month, the number of turns per session, the length of a message and how often you can send messages. Limits reset each calendar month. We set them so that normal learning use is comfortably covered, and we may adjust them.

If you break these rules, we may limit or suspend your access to AI roleplay or to the app (see section 9).

6. AI-generated content

The roleplay characters and the feedback are generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude, accessed through OpenRouter). Please keep in mind:

  • AI feedback can contain mistakes. It may miss an error, mark something correct as wrong, or suggest wording that is not ideal. Use your own judgement.
  • Roleplay characters and situations are fictional.
  • Nothing in the app is professional, legal, HR or career advice. Lessons and feedback are for language practice only.

7. Wage and career statistics

The app and this website mention research showing that professionals with strong English can earn more (for example “up to 50% more”). These figures come from published labour-market studies. They describe averages in certain countries and groups, are listed in the app under “Sources”, and are not a promise of any result for you. Your results depend on many factors, including your effort, your field and your job market.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its lessons, texts, audio, illustrations, the Promi character, and the name and logo are owned by Digitly Media Kft. or its licensors and are protected by law. With an active subscription, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own learning, under these Terms and Apple’s EULA.

Your roleplay messages belong to you. You give us permission to process them to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Ending your use

  • You can stop using Promi at any time and delete your account in the app. Remember to cancel your subscription in Apple’s settings too.
  • We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end your access without a reason you are responsible for, we will see to a fair refund of the unused period.
  • If we ever stop offering Promi, we will tell you in advance where we can.

10. Availability

We work to keep Promi running well, but we can’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors. AI roleplay depends on third-party services and may sometimes be unavailable. Lessons stored in the app may keep working offline.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you have as a consumer under mandatory law, or our liability for harm to life, body or health, for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for anything else that the law does not let us exclude.

Within those limits, the app and its content are provided for language learning, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on AI feedback or on general statistics in the app, or for indirect damage that could not be foreseen.

12. Legal guarantees and complaints

If the app does not work as described, you have the rights that the law gives consumers for digital content and services, including repair, price reduction or ending the contract. Contact us first at support@promienglish.hu and we’ll try to fix it. We answer complaints in writing within 30 days.

If we can’t resolve a complaint, consumers can turn to a conciliation board (békéltető testület). The board competent for our registered seat is:

Budapesti Békéltető Testület
1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99. III. em. 310., Hungary
Email: bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu · Website: bekeltet.bkik.hu

Consumers can also contact the conciliation board of the county where they live. EU consumers can find more help through the European Consumer Centres Network.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the app or the law changes. We will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app in advance. If you don’t agree, you can cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
